I heard him in Greensboro a couple months back with the same lineup except for Marley. Show started exactly on time, and we were 20 minutes late, so heard his final song only - though killer. So about 30 min. Hope he comes back around to headline. Note: Do not miss Trombone. One of the best concerts...

I sat mesmerized, taking this all in. Then at the end when I realized it was live, I'm in tears. Thank you so much, Mr. Green, for all your exquisite playing and for sharing. Anyone know the date, venue, and other players? Jim Cooley, I'm with you. :) Back in my hole, but only after I listen a few m...

I'm looking hard at the TT12 Combo, but also interested in the Mach 3 for dual work and additional features. However, I especially don't want to sacrifice any steel tone. There are some good posts here on the Mach 3 itself, but has anyone done a side by side comparison of the two? Thanks.

Prefer hardback, but will take whatever. With the limited, niche market, I don't think any of the options are overpriced. Thank you, Mr. Fishell!

Beyond being a great steel player and influencing so many of us, I always admired him for putting the music, the songs, and the band first. Such an overall superb musician. Rest in peace.

I met him once in Greensboro, and he was kind enough to take the time and explain his rig – with dual Twins. What a sound! He was such a huge influence and got so many us started. I’ve always loved Buddy’s biting, gritty, retro, palm-blocked “bouncing, bubbly” steel, as Winnie Winston call...

Hey Douglas, I grew up in NC too amidst blues, British Invasion, bluegrass festivals and such. Spent time in Brasil and the Virgin Is. as well soaking it in. I'm all over the place listening. My choice is usually old or obscure, but the kids blast all manner of Pop, and I do like some of it. I just ...

Nice Steel, Marc. Congrats!

Great Bruce stories here too. Thanks all. I saw him first at the ASU gym in Boone, NC, spring 1976. About 500 people max, and they played for hours. Coincidentally, it was about the time I bought my first steel. Go figure. :)

Hey Greg, Thanks for the note, and sorry about the delay. I keep getting sidetracked. Good points. You and many others seem to be splitting the B and G# lowers, and that's what I'm going with. Lower B's on P4. I think I'm going for the G# lower on LKR as well. I'm now debating leaving the 2nd string...

6 String Lower Location

My number's up to order a new Encore! So I'm deciding on the setup to fit what I'm used to and try out some new things. I've read a lot of posts and just about there. I play Day, lower E's on RKL and raise on RKR and (currently) lower S2 D# on LKR. I' like to try the Franklin pedal on P4 (inside)and...

Nice looking guitar. I’ve gotten back into playing a bit after a few years and have been enjoying checking the Emmons history on the forum lately. I’m playing a red belly, wrap-around, SN 2141. I hope to post more including pics on the main board soon.
