Wasn't sure if okay to post the link or not, but as I said if a SGF member buys it and lets me know, I'll make the same donation as if it had sold directly from here.

Thanks,

Mike

Guitar is listed on eBay. No bids yet, but if it gets bids there, in fairness to bidders here I will suspend this listing till the auction ends.

If a member here should buy it through the eBay auction please let me know and I will make the usual donation to b0b.

I have a couple of ZB questions, thought I'd post here in the huge ZB thread so the answers can help others. I bought the Green ZB from a couple of pages ago from Andrew. He must have lubed it and played it some because it operates freely and silently. Questions I have: 1) I need the F lever (LKL) m...

Anybody know a source for the changer tuning nuts? I need at least one more for the F change and would like them to match.

They are a hex socket barrel nut of some kind it seems. Never seen that in a hardware store.

ZB Custom F lever part

I have a ZB custom that doesn't have the special part used for the half step raise on the F lever, string 4. This thread describes it: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=201427&sid=3784a62935c236f15bdc1a61b6cd570d Does anybody have or make these? EDIT: D'oh! I just realized there is ...

Franklin Pedal & B-Bb lever

Here's my setup: LKV lowers the B strings a half step. Split (using the two rod method) to a C note with the A pedal. P4 lowers 5&6 to A & F#, respectively. I was pleasantly surprised to realize that when the P4 is engaged, the LKV actually raises string 5 back up to a Bb (ETA: in this conte...

For the sake of completeness, after some looking around I found these Wilkinsons http://www.ebay.com/itm/151345176510 ... for $27 per 3&3 set, and I'm happy to report that they fit in my MSA's keyheads with no modifications needed (I'd read others had to bore out the holes to 10mm on older guita...

B's to Bb on LKV with E Lower on LKR

Wondering if somebody could comment on this combination of levers. Assuming a guitar that is well adjusted, how challenging is it to operate and/or release the LKR while keeping the vertical pressed up? I'm interested in the application of this for b0b's chord scale as seen here: http://bb.steelguit...

Thanks

The weird thing is that screw hole, which is at 9 o'clock when viewed from this angle. All the tuners I've ever seen have the screw hole offset at about 7 o'clock (I suppose to allow for closer spacing on an inline guitar head stock.)

MSA Classic Plastic Body Tuning Machines

Hopefully the picture says it all: http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1403/11315_0306150737__Copy_1.jpg I just bought this steel, and a couple of the tuning machines are broken as you can see. I can wedge a block of wood between the shaft and the ledge for the next tuner as a temporary fix, but I...

Hi James,

You are of course right.

But, I enjoy tinkering, and since I do all the work myself, mostly with found and/or cheap materials, the price is close to zero, and the time is spent doing something I enjoy.

That's what I tell myself anyway.
