Andrew, nice. It looks like the guitar has been raised. May be 2". Do you know? Also, Can we see a picture straight into the changer rather than from the higher shot you have. I'm curious if the changer is a 3 raise, 2 lower, or a 3 and 3 changer? Yes, an under-carriage picture would be cool. T...

Always be aware of the "Sweet Spots" when playing. This may not be your situation but on many stages, just turning and facing slightly to the left or right makes the hum just about disappear. I really find this helpful when recording. The test for open ground is-When you grab your strings,...

FWIW, I put a SIT .038 "Power wound" string on my LaGrande and all timing and stop adjustments flew out the window. Whatever makes it a power wound, must be the culpret. I'm thinking possibly a thicker core? Ron

The only steel that I think would benefit from this under post tuning would be the Stage One steels. The excess bend on the low B would really add to it's not com- ing back in tune on most guitars. Howard- having rebuilt many tuners and examining them under magnification, I see no directional prefer...

As far as volume: the third string being so thin, will always put out less energy. Picking harder to compensate will only make your buzz worse. Some use a .012 on there which might help. The extra taughtness would probably help with less buzz and more output. Some pull adjustment will be required.

Get a steel one rather than aluminum. Aluminum makes your white tuners look all dirty and ugly looking.

I know on a bass guitar they work well. Seems to free up the the vibrations. They do drop the action on the bass guitar E string about .050". You need to raise the saddle .050...
I'd be concerned about string breakage and if these strings will cut grooves in the finger heads quicker. RP
