A question for anyone with true (maybe first-hand) knowledge of the Emmons Company, from the mid to late 1970's:
According to serial number records, my Emmons D10 P/P was made in December 1977 (s/n 2411 D) and it has the "keystone" Kluson tuning keys and black LeGrande pedals. I'm not the original owner, so I don't know if the guitar came with that style of pedals or if a previous owner modified it. Did the Emmons Company ever put LeGrande pedals on P/P's before the 1980's when the LeGrande guitar was introduced?
Keep on picking'!

Emmons P/P pedals and serial numbers
My P/P has a serial number of 0199D...that is not like any of the numbers I have reviewed here on the forum. Along those same lines, my guitar has black LeGrande style pedals.
Can anyone address the serial number issue? Can the pedal style be used to help determine the year for my guitar?

Usually, the push pulls with Legrand style pedals, were made around early to late 80’s. However, i understand that they were offered either way. Also, if they are 70’s guitars with Legrand pedals, someone could have changed them out. I think some models were interchangeable. And Randy, ive never seen a serial numer like that. Are you sure you can read it good? Is the zero good and plain? Was thinking maybe it could be a 2 and was miss stamped.
