I think I have this right - posting from memory, and it ain't what it use to be for me - but I believe two things came about. One - his wife got her CDL. Two - his aging hound dog went off to chase rabbits in the clouds - so I think they are driving Over The Road as a team. I think they are taking as much work as they can to pay down debt/save up for rainy days. I last chatted with him several months ago, but FB Messenger says he was "active" 9 hours ago - so I think he's fine. Probably not getting a lot of time behind his steel. I too miss his input. Definitely on of the good 'uns here on the forum.

He popped up on here a week or so ago, just like he'd never been away. I forget the topic.

Lane was cool, I always found his posts interesting and helpful, never a bunch of windy nonsense. Seems like he just vanished after 2021, hoping he's OK.

I wondered what happened to him. He used to post regularly. So many of our members just stop posting leaving a huge void in wisdom and help.I hope Lane is doing ok and will return to the forum soon.

I'm a friend of his on Facebook, and he hasn't posted there since June of '24. Hope all is well. He was always quick to lend advice and answer questions, for me and other newbies.

Odd you started this thread as I was wondering myself why he hadn’t posted in so long. He frequently participated but he was also doing linehaul for FedEx ground, which is very time consuming & tough on the home time. Glad to hear he’s doing well.
Dave 🙂
