I think I have this right - posting from memory, and it ain't what it use to be for me - but I believe two things came about. One - his wife got her CDL. Two - his aging hound dog went off to chase rabbits in the clouds - so I think they are driving Over The Road as a team. I think they are taking as much work as they can to pay down debt/save up for rainy days. I last chatted with him several months ago, but FB Messenger says he was "active" 9 hours ago - so I think he's fine. Probably not getting a lot of time behind his steel. I too miss his input. Definitely on of the good 'uns here on the forum.
Pedal steel, lap steel, resonator, blues harp - why suck at just one instrument when you can do so on many?

He popped up on here a week or so ago, just like he'd never been away. I forget the topic.
