Here's a 20-minute video from my friend David Murphy's cool new instrumental group, professionally filmed in a studio. Kind of an "ambient" approach, but with a lot of it rooted in traditional Irish airs and harp music.

I posted a while back about David and his recent album of traditional Irish music, done in a very contemporary way - very much like this video. Not to everyone's taste maybe, but a lot of folks here seemed to like the album as much as I do. Here's a link:

David - great album! I've been streaming it over and over. Can't get enough of Bridget Cruise and Eleanor Plunkett. All the songs sound fantastic.

"Ambient" style works with some new Americana too; I try to fit similar sounds and feels (my licks, best I can) into a local "Americana" band. They haven't fired me, YET
