Tiny, I remember when you showed up at a PSGA show years ago, Bob was so happy to see you and announced to the crowd that you were in attendance.

He was a big admirer of your playing and of all the people you played with over the years!

He was a big fan and you made his day!!

Regards, Craig

Thank you for those words Craig. What you said just made my day. I believe that was in 2001.

Bob was an awesome person and will be missed..!!

I'm sending you a PM as well.

Bob's passing

Post by Don Sulesky »

I just came across this post and I am very sad to hear this about Bob. He was a dear friend to me since 1987 and I received the 2003 Appreciation award from the PSGA
for the many articles I had published in the newsletter for 20 years. He will be missed by 1000's the world over.
Rest in Peace my dear friend.

Thanks Bob Maikel for your leadership of and contribution to the steel guitar community, especially in the NY area. And thanks for your friendliness to a beginner a good bit ago; You are missed. ….. Rob
