If Cor has in fact lost money on this deal, it's a dern shame. And I hope that he is able to recover his money.
But, what is the point of starting this all over again?
Cor, if you haven't already, get a lawyer and start the process of getting your money back. If you sent money in the mail, you may have a basis for mail fraud (and you may want to contact the USPS to get their suggestion as to how to proceed). If you used a credit card, dispute the charge. You will almost certainly get a resolution this way.
Unless someone pops up on here to say they will contact Ron on your behalf, I'm not sure what this thread will accomplish. The fact is, we only have one side of the story, and there is no obligation (or expectation) for Emmons Steel Guitar Co. to come on to a public forum to resolve a private issue.
Again, I really hope that if Cor did lose money, that he gets his money back and that the Emmons Steel Guitar Co. is reprimanded. If the Emmons Steel Guitar Co. is without fault in this case (we don't know their story), then I hope that those facts come to light.
In either case, I just hope this gets settled one way or other....but the facts today are that nothing has changed.
Not really much left to say until something happens....

If I was Ron Or Rebecca I most certainly would have posted something on this subject before now.
If they are trying to save the company their customer relations are deplorable.,they allegedly cannot deliver the goods and they are in no way trying to clarify the situation.
as Crowbear said there are two sides to the story, Come on Rebecca SPEAK UP,
I am not making any judgements on this issue
but the Lashleys do not look good by maintaining silence.
I have an Emmons guitar which I think is fantastic
Best regards
Billy

It may be hard to get the money. I'm sure it has been spent on past due bills and materials. I believe Emmons is still producing guitars, so why won't they just build the guitar they owe Cor. This has the classic sign of a company about to go under. They have no cash to refund Cor, or pay for materials for commited orders. They are probably on C.O.D. with vendors. That's why it take forever to get one. Cor might want to make that trip. His guitar may not be built, but I would walk out of there with something. If they go under, Cor and others who put up cash will be left in the cold. The major vendors get dibs on assests first.

Cor, sent me a email copy from another dealer, who is on this forum, where he offered to buy the steel from Emmons, so they could refund Cor's money, AND he was told at that time a month or so back, that the guitar wasn't even built at that time, So how can Cor sell a guitar or anyone buy it, when it wasn't even built?
Was Emmons company at the convention selling steels this year? If so why didnt they send Cor the steel he ordered in 2003?
Seems like Emmons did this same thing to some other fellows a while back,
Looks like people would learn by now on how they do business, DON'T deal with them directly, go through a dealer..or buy something else instead..

Cor! dear friend,
This is a very sad situation. I am sorry for maybe giving you bad advice about flying over here to sort it out. I did not realise that you are now disabled. Would you even be able to fly over here? How badly are you disabled? Perhaps we should start a fund to help our dear friend Cor! Has anyone got any better ideas how to help our dear friend who is disabled and 4000 miles awy from the problem?

Surely someone with close ties to the company can run this by them and provide some kind of an answer, and save everybody a lot of trouble and embarassment.
Did the company mention anything of the merits of this particular order when requesting the previous thread be closed?
Cor: do you have an order number, cancelled check or receipt?

Obviously, we still don't know Emmons (Rebecca) side of the story but heck Cor shelled out 4500$ and did'nt get his horn
i feel for the guy
what would you do if this happened to you ?
go over w: a 12 gauge and ride in the back of a cop car or say well Emmons is too cool fer school, they'll come through
i suggest that those of us who are more than 2000 miles from NC, all order a model like Cor did from Emmons (Rebecca)so they can make his while we wait for ours

i ask them a 100 times to sent me an estimate plus given me the total price for my guitar with all the extra options or not
but loud and clear they didn't so what else can i do to lay it by the attorney general or put it here on the forum ( but as you have read i didn't start this thread again but anyway
it's a big big shame to the former from this company the great Ron lashley senior.

First of all I feel sorry for Cor because he has paid a lot of money in advance and didn't get his guitar ( yet ).But I don't understand one thing and that is:
Why didn't he ordered his guitar from the dealer in The Netherlands who imports Emmons guitars for nearly over 30 years here.I and many others have ordered their guitars through him with no payment in advance .Pay on delivery. Why has he ordered directly from Emmons and take that risk in the first place when we've got a dealer in The Netherlands ?

It's getting harder to buy one thru a dealer.
There was a post here by a Nashville dealer with a long history with them dropping the line.
This same dealer used to post here that you are better off buying from a dealer.
I can understand that people trust the name due to the many people who love and play these.
