Hi Dave..
I sold the Fender 1000 back in the sixties and got a Fender 2000 of which I totally wore out. Now, I have a GFI that is made by Gene Fields, who was instrumental in the making of the Fenders back in the day.

Carl,
Were you the guy that played on the Michael Parks album Closing The Gap? I remember it was someone named Carl, but the last name escapes me. I bought the album because James Burton was on it, and there was some really cool steel playing as well. Maybe the first album I bought that had steel on it. Sure sounds like an Fender.
