Can anyone tell me if this SD-10 Emmons left the factory as a D-10 or an original SD-10 and also the year it was made ? Serial #2122

John, if there is a D in the serial # it was made as a Double neck. If it has a ST it was a single neck on a double body. Most call this a SD, but Emmons called them Loafers or ST guitars (Single Neck on a Twin Body). Add an L to these and it is a LeGrande. GS was the student model, BR the Black Rock, M was an economy pro model and S was the single neck on a single body. The very early guitars had no letters, Chris Lucker could help date these. If the guitar was to be a single neck, the holes for the neck, head and changer mount were not drilled either. Hope this helps.
