What a terrible loss to our steel guitar community. Bryan was a great person, a fine player, and a phenomonal guitar builder. One couldn't help but love Bryan after meeting him. This is really sad news. My condolences to Bryan's family. He will be tremendously missed.

Bryan was such a good friend to all of us Steel Players everywhere. I never heard him say an unkind word about anyone. He will truly be missed. That Heavenly Steel Jam going on up in the sky just gained another good picker. Now go R.I.P. my friend.

Ijust got on here and found this post .So sad to hear this .I have known Bryan all my life since im only 2 mile's up the road . I have been to his home many time's always enjoyed his company ,,have all his cd's & track's ,,i went by just 2-3 weeks ago talked with him a few minutes,,i knew he was very sick . I will miss him as the rest of you will !

Our community continues to lose it's greats, and sadly so few coming along to carry the torch. Especially, fewer of those with true knowledge and understanding of the instrument. Not a more loyal advocate of the Emmons guitars and one that understood their uniqueness. May God comfort all those that loved the man.

I had been hoping for better news, but lately fearing this. A great person. the few times I was around him I learned a lot. Prayers for comfort to his family.

I didn't get to know Bryan as long,or as well as many of you, and I count that as my loss. When I first met him, it was Instant Friendship, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing him, hearing him play, and talking to him at several jams after that. He was Definitely one of the Good Guys. My Prayers join with the Many others offered up for Carolyn, and their Family. May God grant them the Strength, and Comfort that they will Surely need in the days ahead. RIP, and God Bless Buddy...

Very sad news, Bryan was one that could leave a warm good feeling in your heart, every time you talked to him. Bryan will be missed by all that knew him.

So sorry to hear of this.
I did a couple of trades with Bryan in the past & we never had a problem on either side.

I really enjoyed talking with him on the phone.
He always had a bunch of gear for sale/trade.

These post have shown me more than I knew about Bryan. It reflects the kind of person he was. I visited him twice and talked in quite some length and, while I admired his playing, I had no idea he had played with these people. He was always ready to give advice whenever anyone asked.

I am very sorry to hear this news and our prayers go out to Bryans family. I had the pleasure of meeting Bryan Adams through a friend of mine back in Richlands VA. Don Jackson who was an excellent steel guitarist lived close by in Richlands and he invited me to their house when Bryan was visiting and I listened to some powerful good steel playing by him and later on I bought the Emmons push/pull from Don which was built by Bryan in the early 80s I only wish now that I still had that guitar.
