The steel guitar work on Toby Keith's "Crash Here Tonight" 3 or 4 years back was pretty nice. |

Brad Paisley's Waitin' on a woman. According to Allmusic it's Randle Currie, and it is a really cool break |

Alan Jackson's "Remember When" featuring Mr. Lloyd Green will always stick with me, but it is a few years old now. |

You gotta love the whole album from Marty Stuart featuring many great steel players on each track (including Ralph Mooney on Branded) |

Miranda's White Liar had some great steel on the outro. If you're looking for flashy self indulgent awesomeness, you won't find it on this track, but what a cool vibe! It enhances the song! I think the extended outro is only on the record version/iTunes. |

Just put in Jamey Johnson CD That Lonesome Song and let'er play. Brilliant. |
I heard a Jamey Johnson tune on sirius satellite the other day. Steel playing was good, caught my ear, very unique. Who is that? Not sure of the tune...it was a cover. |

Thanks Brad. I was going back and forth between the two recordings on Itunes...not sure which one to buy. Now I know and I'll download "That Lonesome Song" right now!... |

Randall Currie on Brad Paisley's "The Water"
Paul Franklin on Jimmy Webb's "Do What You Gotta Do"
Dan Dugmore on Johnny Mathis' "Shenandoah"
Paul Franklin on Dave Peterson's "You're Too Easy to Remember" (okay not commercial, but an incredible break)
Best,
