Did you ever see Randy jamming with Buddy at the Den Back in the day? Those are some of my favorite musical moments from when I lived in Nashville. Most of my other favorite moments involved listening to your brother in various dives.

I must say that getting to hear Randy was one of the highlights of the show for me. I have many albums that he is playing on, but this is the first time I ever got to meet him. I also heard him jam with Paul Franklin at Demons Den in Nashville back in the seventies. Randy has the tone, touch, and soul in his playing that I love to hear and he is at the top of the list for my taste. I sat on the front row when he played as I didn't wast to miss anything.

I have a rehearsal CD of Darrell McCall that I got several years ago as we were scheduled to back him up on a couple of Florida Shows. It is a live show and Randy is on steel. It is one of my favorite CD's and Randy plays super on that show. I didn't come close to copying Randy's licks.

I was intrigued by Randy's playing with a feel of a sort of, I call, "wavering" syncopation. It was awesome!
