Congratulations to Randy for becoming the newest HOF member !
It was an honor to see, hear and talk to you again after all these years. All I can say is "WOW" and you are so deserving of this award.

The band you had backing you, knocked me out! :) Joe Manuel on guitar, your son, bass player, etc. The Dallas Show is a breathe of fresh air!

I'm so proud of you Randy!

IMO, one of the best ever. I wasn't there but I'll bet he was playing his Emmons PP; man what tone.

Hey Theresa,

Did you ever see Randy jamming with Buddy at the Den Back in the day? Those are some of my favorite musical moments from when I lived in Nashville. Most of my other favorite moments involved listening to your brother in various dives. :)

I must say that getting to hear Randy was one of the highlights of the show for me. I have many albums that he is playing on, but this is the first time I ever got to meet him. I also heard him jam with Paul Franklin at Demons Den in Nashville back in the seventies. Randy has the tone, touch, and soul in his playing that I love to hear and he is at the top of the list for my taste. I sat on the front row when he played as I didn't wast to miss anything.

I have a rehearsal CD of Darrell McCall that I got several years ago as we were scheduled to back him up on a couple of Florida Shows. It is a live show and Randy is on steel. It is one of my favorite CD's and Randy plays super on that show. I didn't come close to copying Randy's licks.

Randy is a modern-day Beethoven, have said this for the last 30 years-- and now, thankfully , he is recognized for his dedicated work, style and vision!

Congrats, Randy. What a talent!!

I was intrigued by Randy's playing with a feel of a sort of, I call, "wavering" syncopation. It was awesome!

Wishing I could have heard at least a couple of hours of it !!

Also, I would like to extend thanks to Randy for playing piano with us on the Friday night jam!!

IMO, all the above eloquently attests for the need of an instrumental CD by Randy.

I agree, what a steel player and one of the most humble. He can tear it up on the steel and I loved his playing on the key board. Congrats! On the induction to the Hall Of Fame.
I'm with Charles, I would love to hear an instrumental album!
