How about a show of hands... Who here would decide to buy, or not buy, a particular brand of guitar based on the attitude of someone who plays that brand?

You're alright, David. I can never resist giving a listen to your latest post. I am always amazed that someone across the pond has so thoroughly mastered the peculiar American genre and instrument of country pedal steel. Given the number of people on the Internet, you've got to expect some comments like that.

Dave, your YouTube clips are wonderful.
Thank you for taking the time to make them.

Even if you were a bad guy, why should that stop someone from purchasing a certain brand of instrument?

David just consider the source and keep up your good work, your helping a lot of guys on here and it's greatly appreciated.
I run into the same thing, but some guys wouldn't know good sound if it slapped them in the face.

Your contribution to the forum members is like what Mickey Adams, and others Ricky Davis, Erv N., and a lot more are doing for a lot of guys on here, it's out of graditude and wanting to help your fellow forum members that's coming from your heart.
God Bless all of you for your efforts.

As for as my personal experience with David, you just don't meet a better person. Thanks David for being my friend I count it an honor.

Don't feel bad. I have been posting on YouTube since it began. You cannot believe some of the emails and messages I have received.

That's one thing nice about this computer. It has a delete button and I screen EVERY comment on YouTube before I allow it to be visable to the public.

David, heck don't feel bad over that stuff. I don't post on Youtube, and people just naturally don't take to me.

I think it has lots to do with telling it how it REALLY is and not as most others would do. But, that's how I've always been, and too damn old to be changing anytime soon.

Gosh Donny H., you don't think it has something to do with our names do you????

David, your playing is pretty much spot on, and I can vouch for you sharing anything asked, as to what copedent you were using, and bingo, right back to me. So don't even be concerned over the things that float by us all from time to time.

If the dude/gal was going to buy a Rains, whatever, wouldn't have stopped them from buying, because you didn't answer to whomever.

More likely than not, someone bought a Rains thinking they'd sound and play exactly like you and got a BIG disappointment when they didn't.

Hell, you know you're good, so quit trying to get away from it..

being called out by name (only active female?) reminds me that I am often accused of being a Steel guitar groupie. Not a serious student of the steel guitar. I, myself, have never seen a steel guitar groupie.

Attitude! Finger Pointing Even!! …never …I say! never in this life!!!! This guys level of expertise and flair on his instrument is outstanding, the result of many hours on the steel. I do not know why people are like that,I do not know you personally, but I have watched you play. On the You tube videos and I think you are a pretty good player. You play with so much emotion and conviction. In fact I could sit and listen to you play all day. You're not going to please everybody, there is always some person that's going to be critical of you. I know.I've worked with people like that in my job and life. So don't pay that individual any mind. You have a right to achieve your greatness like any of the rest of us. I had boss tell one time that he didn't pay any attention to what people said about him. Because they talked about Jesus.
Just keep up the playing,and your tude (LOL!!!)

Right...David, don't let that bother you. I have received some...hmmm "strange" comments from my YouTube posts. If you browse YouTube for a little while you will find lots of weirdos there. Consider some of the videos people post!

I usually delete those posts from the comment box and move on.
