About those dots......................

I've successfully used fabric paint on more than one Rickenbacher. They fill the hole nicely, harden and stick in place. One can barely tell they are not original dots.

As a youth, I've played more than my share of 'freebies'......, places like The Oregon State Penitentiary, Oregon Youthful Detention Center, a host of Orphans and elder car facilities, Old Folks homes for various LODGES, etc. In later years I've discovered more older musicians playing with a strong ...

I've found the older amps to be ideal.....................

My favorite amp has turned out to be a FENDER Pro-JUNIOR .......followed by an Epiphone Electar-1965, VOLU-TONE-150M (I believe it is), A Peavy LA-400 12 inch and several other vintage 8 inch speaker amps. The smaller amps that are olde seem to blend well with the circuitry of my many Richenbachers...

About those album covers..................

Those album covers are misleading to everyone. JERRY BYRD told me that one of his finest albums, "Hawaiian Beach Party" was held up for more than two years before it was released. On another album I've seen, the cover photo has been flipped so the guy is playing a left handed pedal steel g...

Brian......
I'd suggest you keep and eye on eBay and/or any of the well known record re-sellers.

He was on all of Eddie Arnold's RCA rcord hits up until Arnold went pop with the big string orchestra.

Those records are out there an accessible.
Good Luck!

I guess it all depends.....................

I've been told by experts that "SIZE" is not all that important. The bar, of course, does not need to cover all 10-12-14 strings at one time. A bullet nose for moving across the strings is truly essential for the serious player. A length and weight that will allow the player the full contr...
