GD Walker Stereo Steel combo

Hi Folks I am ready to pass along my Stereo Steel rig that I bought from GD Walker back in 2010. It is the "complete" set-up that he offered, with his Stereo Steel amp, the TC electronics effects box, and his custom carpeted enclosures for the Vintage JBL speakers and the front end (his St...

Sold: Justice C-6

Hi Folks It is time to pass to someone else the C-6 "Judge" that Fred (living forever in peace with Our Lord) made for me back in 2011. I had picked up one of his first E9s, and had him make me a C-6 "just in case" I gravitated more to C-6. It was the first "purple people ea...

new Justice S-10 3x4

Well, I jut had to mosey over to Fred's to have a test drive of his new S-10, 3x4...and glad i did too! The first thing I noticed was the compact, great looking case that actually looked like I could easily take wherever I needed to go...at 36 pounds total, I could even carry it! It just looked swee...

new pro lite!

I had a chance to go by Fred Justice's place the otehr day and had a chance to look at and play his new pro lite model. All I can say is "wow"...a great sounding and playing guitar that weights 10 pounds less than my other comparable SD 10s!! He cut back on weight by making some aluminum s...

new Justice SD 10 C6

Hi all!! Well, Fred finished my new SD 10 in C6 with the emmons setup, and don't it look purdy! As purple is my favorite color, Fred and I a few months ago talked about it and he was able to get me some killer purple mica! Love the guitar! Excellent tone and build quality. Now I just have to learn t...

C6 question

Hi all I'm thinking about trying out C6 and having my friend Fred Justice build me a custom C6 in a SD configuration. As I look at copedents, it would seem to me that I could use knee levers in place of pedals, as every copedent I have seen uses pedals 4 - 8 on a D10 set up. Does anyone have any exp...

Hi

I went through this a while back... I totally agree that if you have the money, buy a professional grade PSG. Everyone has a favorite, but for my $$$, give Fred Justice (Justice Steel Guitars)a call at 480-986-2599. And, Nah...he doesn't pay me...just teaches me and makes a killer axe.

Good luck!

pedal steel frequencies

Hi All

I would like to know what the base frequencies are for each of the strings on the E9 tuning. I can find charts that list the frequencies for each note (C0 - D8), but I don't have a piano readily handy to figure out which octave each of the strings are in this scheme.

Thanks!

Joe..you beat me to it! Joe built this seat to go with my Justice PSG, and Fred still had the mica to let the seat match. I know it is not utilitarian, but it sure is pretty!

speaker recommendation

While I know this is subjective, I will be expanding my rig, and wonder what people think of vintage JBLs D130s versus black widows in 15". I have heard the black widows, and really like them, but haven't heard the JBLs. I can't think of a way to listen to them easily either, since I don't know...

Joe is building me an original with a back, and we were able to get the mica to match my guitar to make the base with....maybe seems like a bit of overkill to have my seat match my guitar, but it sure appeals ot my sense of symmetry!

this is actually one of the major things that I am dealing with as I am learning. I have both a good teacher as well as Jeff's "Right Hand Alpha" and find myself at times a bit frustrated. I know that learning with bad habits makes it more difficult in the long run, but copying Jeff's tech...

learning the neck

I met with my friend last night who wanted to see how my learning was going, and he puled out his 6 string, tuned it to double drop d (DADGBD), and began to play a song that went like D (no 3rd) - Amin7 - F (but with a 2 and 6)...asked me to play along... It then occurred to me that I am learning ch...

I'm going through this now! I'm using DVD material as well as private lessons with a great guy locally. LOTS of practice, and studying the chart done by Patricia posted on this board. Also, starting to just pick out and play common songs...like "silent night"...of, course, I have to figure...

!!! Having a GREAT Time !!!

Perhaps I'm a bit more jazzed than someone of my years should be, but I just LOVE learning to play this instrument! I had posted earlier that I just got a new Justice axe, and I've got to say, that it just sounds and plays wonderfully! I also picked up a NV 112, and with a bit of tweaking, it also s...

Thanks for all yor support! I just recieved my new nv 112...i had been using my old fender blues deluxe (dirty.....). I look forward to hearing what settings people use for this. On first impression it sounds a bit thin and "mid-ie"...I may just need to break this puppy in to loosen it up!...
