Margie Mays

Learned from Don Mays yesterday that Margie passed away after a stint with cancer. A lot of you will remember that Margie played the ISGC many time. She was a very talented steel player and an extremely kind person. Have no further information at this tune. RIP Margie.

Oh no. Leonard T. was an absolute favorite at the ISGC. His music and most of all his humor was eagerly anticipated by all. I remember when he would come to my parents house for what4ver reason and he was so naturally entertaining that we always had a good time when he was around. RIP Leonard.

Billy Robinson was elected into the Steel Guitar Hall of Fame in 1996. He was a tremendous steel player as well as the nicest person we knew. Condolences to his family. RIP Billy.

Chris I am so sorry. I will never forget the years Frank, as well as yourself, were die hard 'flag people". I missed him when he could no longer attend and enjoyed getting the occasional email from him. Sympathy and prayers for you and your family.

We are saddened to announce that one of Scotty’s daughters, Brenda, has passed away following a bout of cancer. Some of you may remember her selling CDs at the ISGC. She was very friendly and was liked by all who knew her. RIP Brenda.
