The Fiddle player is a very young Buddy Spicher.

The steel player in the video is Howard White. Howard was working with Cathy and Cowboy Copas and I suspect Ferlin was asked to do a guest shot on their program. Howard also worked with Hank Snow for a while as well as Wilma Lee and Stoney Cooper.

Hello Jerry and Jim Bob...sure wish I could be there with you guys this year. Lot of things have transpired since 1987. A lot of my heros and friends are playing for a new audience now. You guys have a good time and remember me once in a while.

Jerry Byrd was the MASTER MUSICIAN for the non pedal player. He also used a variety of tunings, depending on how the song lay on the instrument would qualify which tuniing he used.
