Yamaha n12 and Cubase 5

Anyone know if the Yamaha n12 Digital Mixing Studio is compatable with Cubase 5? I believe it comes with a version of Cubase Ai4, but I am thinking of starting my own studio using Cubase 5, and have not seen any documentation on the Yamaha n12 with Cubase 5. I think it would be a nice tool to use, b...

Lloyd Green Steel Question

I've been watching lots of steel picking on YouTube, and can't figure out what type steel guitar Lloyd Green is playing on some of them. Some of them, he is playing a Sho Bud LDG Model, but others he is playing something else. Anyone know...?

that played duets with Curly Chaulker on the old Wilburn Brothers show? Caught the show by accident on the RFD network, and I'd like to know who the lead guitar player was..?

These two guys ROCKED on these instrumentals!

Sue you sold me!

I'm a pretty new steeler and have been debating which tuner to buy. Your service here in this forum has sold me on the Petersen Stroboflip!

I'm going to get one right away.

Southern Gospel Steel Players

I've been enjoying some old Southern Gospel videos on YouTube lately. I was wondering if anyone knew who the steel player(s) for the Happy Goodman Family was? Also, I know Scott Sanders was the steel player for the Hinsons later on in their carrer, but who was the original steel player(s)? Thanks,

"Matchstick?"

I was talking to a friend the other day and he said he uses a "Matchstick" on his steel. I'm new to the instrument and have no idea what it is, what it does, and what it will do for me? I gathered that it was a sort of pre-amp, volume control, or an effect. He said it clamps right on to hi...

Question About Knee Lever "extenders"

I have a problem with my left leg, and I could really use some advice. I am in the process of buying a friends Carter S-10 (my first steel!), and I love it except...I need to get a lifter kit, and see if I can extend the LKL knee lever. Does anyone know of a place where I can find an extender or pad...

Lonnie, a couple of things to look for or ask. Is it a SOLID TOP or laminate mandolin? It does make a huge difference in the tone and also the value of the mando.

Typically, Korean mandos are cheaper made mandos. Without seeing it I would guess in the $100-$200 range.

Hope this helps some...

The Hinsons ...

are old friends of mine. Kenny actually produced 2 albums for me back in the 80's. He used Sonny Garrish on one and Paul Franklin on the other. Friends it don't get much better than that! My good friend Scott Sanders played in a local group that we shared the stage with on a few occasions here in Fl...

I play, and have played in a few Bluegrass bands. I have a couple of older mandos that I seldom play: and Old Gibson 1918 A Model "Pumpkin," a Kentucky A Model, and a couple of others. My sweetheart is my Weber Big Sky F Model. This mando is probably the most under rated around. If you kno...

Newbie Question - Can you move knee levers?

Can knee levers be moved - if so it is really hard to do? I have some structural problems with my left leg, and find that when I sit in a comfortable position to use everything else (pedals, other knee levers, reach the strings, etc) I am not in a good position to use the LKL lever. I am borrowing a...

**Gibson Granada Banjo**

Selling my 2004 Gibson Grananda Banjo. I'm a beginner and I want to buy a new steel. Mama says I have to sell this if I want to get a steel :) The Granada is one of the finest banjos in the world. This banjo is used but in near mint condition. It has barely been played. In fact it still has the orig...
