Sipike came out to my home and showed me how to set up my Fen...

My experience is, if I put a right angle sharp kink in the string right where in comes out of the thread hole on the tuning key, will stop slipping with only 2 to 3 wraps. It’s a physics thing where a right angle has much more resistance than having the come out of the threading with a natural curve...

Very sad news, Mike was as gifted as they come. On stage of thousands or in a demo room, one on one he had the ability to make you feel special and touched many with his music and his personal faith. Well done faithful servant, we’ll see you in the sweet bye and bye. Prayers for Mike’s family.

I am deeply shocked but not surprised. Fred has for some time had to battle health issue and is now in a place where there is no pain or suffering. I first met Fred in St Lois steel show in 2007 where he was a rep for MSA. He was partly responsible for me ordering my SD10 Legend and before I receive...

They are real people that have made a difference with beautiful music and touching our lives. WELL DONE GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT

One day when I was visiting Shot on the 2nd floor of the Sho Bud store, Julian Tharpe, came up. He was playing for Barbara Mandrell at the time. Shot mentioned that I should hear Julian, play Danny Boy without using a bar. So I went with Julian down to his car and he got his steel, first time I seen...

When I saw Bill, he was playing with Dottie and had a completely/everything, gold plated steel. Can't remember what brand it was. We had a steel player, Spike, Gary Spicer, here in Canada, who played a Marlin with barn door hinges hanging down for knee levers.

Bob, since the time you posted loosing Barbara, I would say WOW, you have definitely received a truck load of support from your fellow steelers. I have given a lot of thought, loosing your best friend and have concluded, the best way to get through this positively, is, not on how do you handle it, b...

Kayton will be missed, BIG time. I remember years ago going to the Opry and when Kayton was on with Hank, all the other steel players would come out to watch Kayton beat that thing to death, yet the music came out so beautiful. How did he get away with having one steel?? Kayton was one of a kind, he...

My skin is dry, so I've had trouble keeping my picks tight and not slip. I have bought and tried everything. You do see quite a few people lick their fingers before they put their picks on. I tried this, and have not had a problem since and it doesn't cost a lot.
