Kayton Roberts
I just got word from a good friend of Kayton's that he passed tonight at around 11pm Nashville time. He was a treasure...

So sad to hear this. I had heard he wasn't doing so well. He was an inspiration to me and many others. R.I.P.

Gosh, life is so fragile. A true gentleman steeler. Our condolences to Kayton's family.

Sad news. Kayton was a wonderful player and a great showman. I saw him 2 or 3 years ago when I went to the Long Hollow club outside of Nashville with Mike and Joanie Johnson. Previous to that, he came to my home town of Southampton, UK, about 45 years with Hank Snow. RIP big man.

I was lucky enough to see Mr. Roberts performing with Hank Snow on my first visit to the Grand Ole Opry. He was always an inspiration. May he rest in peace.
