Fred Justice

Post by Michael McGee »

Brenda has asked me to let this great group of people know. It is with great sadness, tears, broken hearts, and love for this community that we let you know that our friend, player, forum member, and steel builder Fred Justice passed away last night at approximately 930pm Arizona time due to complications from heart issues. If you are so inclined, please offer condolences, love, and support, and pray for Brenda and Fred's family during this difficult time. Those of you who proudly own those Justice guitars that he lovingly created can dedicate a song to him today.

He will be missed. We became acquainted many years ago, became close friends, and since then we have stayed in contact once or twice a week by phone all these years. I talked to him yesterday and could tell he was suffering. He and I always expressed our relationship with Jesus Christ, so I know beyond all doubt that the suffering is over and the celebration of eternity has begun! See you in a little while, dear friend.

Oh, no. I'm very sad to hear this. I always looked forward to seeing Fred at the Phoenix shows. He grew up very close to me in northern Indiana, and I was amused to learn that he was one of the guys who used to drive their jalopies back and forth through the Park-N-Eat down on the levee in West Lafayette.

He will be missed by my family. Fred was a huge supporter of Jacob and they became such good friends. He was a one of kind for sure. Like you said Mike, he made it very clear how he felt about his faith and I take comfort in that.

I'll miss ol' Fred. Quite a character. Being a Christian, I'm happy for him and sad for us, but know I'll see him again. I'm thankful we have Ron Anderson still making his great steels. RP
