I’m going to give an opinion here that runs against the prevailing one. That is, I think Buds with pot metal mechanisms are not nightmares or somehow next to the worst you can get. For the sake of brevity I won’t list my experience with them other than to say it’s a lot. I will say that I’d buy yet ...

Here’s a cheap fix that usually…but not always….works. Take a tiny piece of paper, fold it once, and place it under the string between it and the changer finger. Tune it back up and you’re playing again without being buzzed. Some balk at such an easy solution. Then they go and spend lots of time and...

Wanted - Fender Champ or Vibrochamp amp
Looking for a 1970’s Champ or Vibrochamp. Beat up or not. Working or not. Doesn’t matter. Want it for my workshop.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Steel guitar pak-a-seat - SOLD
Selling an extra pak-a-seat that I’ve had for many years. I just don’t need it anymore. It’s sturdy and, while not being mint, it’s not beat-up either. $160 and I pay the shipping to the lower 48 states. Check or money order, please. Thanks. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2203/7140_421885278...

Don’t get me wrong, Twins are great sounding but their biggest problem is the weight. Add the additional weight of JBL’s, Altec’s or EV’s and it gets stupid. That alone drastically affects their value because most players don’t want to haul one around. Until about a year ago I repaired amps. The one...

Cutting threads on pedal rods
I had to cut down 3 rods to fit an MSA Red Baron. (Long story) Cutting was easy but putting 10/32 threads on them isn’t. They are stainless steel and using a regular die definitely doesn’t work. So, I thought I’d take them to a machine shop. Expensive at $90 each! All I want is each rod to have mayb...

I might have what you want…or close to it. It’s a 7/8” BJS with a very pale “rose” colored gem in it. The pic makes it look like an aquamarine gem (I have a 15/16” with that stone) but it’s the light. I might have one with a clear gem but, if I do, it would be in FLA and I’m up north now. It’s in ex...

I will post additional pics, as requested. I’m sure knee levers could be added but I’m not sure how many given that it has a single raise, single lower changer. Those more knowledgeable and familiar with that would, though. As for shipping, it would probably be between $150-200 depending on distance...

‘72 Sho-Bud S10 model 6139 natural
Up for sale is a 1972 blonde Sho-Bud 6139. It is a single 10-string with 3 pedals and 1 knee lever. It comes with an old Miller volume pedal which works fine. Judging by its condition and lack of any dings, nicks or nicotine staining I believe the steel has never been played out. It even has the ori...

Set of 2” longer legs.
I have an extra set of 4 legs that are, I believe, 2” longer than normal. They came off a Franklin D10 that was built for a very tall player. I won’t need them as I’m not getting any taller. They measure 24 7/8” from the bottom of the knurled connector up to the very end of the threaded bolt’s that ...

Old MSA S10 Sidekick help
I was asked to go thru an old MSA Sidekick, a basic 3+1 student model of a few years ago. The pedal rods that came with it are not original and are way, way, too long. In fact, it appears that a Sidekick uses very, very short rods due to the where and how they connect to the crossbars. So, I’ll have...
