I remember seeing Mark O'Conner at the Weiser Fiddle Festival in the late 70's. I never saw him without a fiddle in his hand, playing 16 hours a day. He had no other life. So, I now have violated one of my own pet peeves, too: the misuse of the words "principle" and "principal". Mr Herseth was principal trumpet, not principle trumpet.
