Jim, or Guy. I found the Billy Jack Wills/Vance Terry version of "Cadillac In Model A", but what is the other transcription, in F, you posted from? ooops....it was in the file name, but didn't realize it wasn't on the tab. It's Leon McAuliffe on Bob Wills "Home In San Antone" ht...

I picked up a Mood 2 and really like it., but am having a hard time imagining how I'll use it live. I guess getting a midi controller and using presets would be my best bet? Otherwise, it feels overwhelming.......although a great idea-maker in the studio.

Thanks, all. The operation went well and smoothly. The patient (AND doctor!!) are fine. GFI's are such a breeze to work on. Chris, I considered leaving it, but couldn't come up with a solution for "locking" RKR so I could play non-pedal style. I tried leaving 6 and 7 on, and it was still t...

Removing Changes on GFI Ultra?

Hey kids, Just picked up a GFI Ultra S-10 3x4. Great steel. It has basically the standard changes, except RKR, which is set up to a kind of E6 chord. H-->L F# D# --> D/C# G# E B --> C# G# ---> B F# -->G# E D -> C# B Those raises on 5, 6 and 7 make the lever basically impossible to push. I thought ab...

life's short, you might as well try c6! I actually started this journey on C6 non-pedal.....and did have a D-10 for a while. It was my only steel though, and arthritis forced me to go to an S-10, if I planned to move it at all. Now I can possibly afford both, if I trade/sell the LDG, and keep the D...

Advice: Trade LDG for a D-10??

Hey....a few months ago, I stumbled on a pristine early 80's Sho Bud LDG. Other than needing changing from Day to Emmons, it appears to have been basically unplayed. I really like it. But..... It doesn't have all the changes I want on there, and the changer might not handle them. Plus, it's kind of ...

Re: New Kemper User

Are people using the Kemper-branded Kabinet, or just a generic cab with the speaker of their choice? What about onboard effects? I have the powered Kab and it is well worth it for live use. Has never let me down. If I had a powered head, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the unpowered Kab. I like all the ...

My favorite practice amp. Have one right by my recliner in the living room. Only thing that would make it perfect would be reverb, instead of delay.

Recording King RM-991-S Tricone? Opinions?

Hey.....just curious if anyone owns, or has tried, the Recording King RM-991-S tricone? I'm interested in possibly picking up a sub $1k tricone, and have had good luck with Recording King Phil Ledbetter dobro and RK-R35 banjo.

Thoughts? Likes? Dislikes?

Thanks!

Doesn't get any better than this.....Michael Nesmith, with just Red Rhodes on steel, the entire album. They just came out with an expanded version, too.

Enjoy!

What are you referring to as Add9 tuning? Thanks
Not Andrew, but he's saying that:

E-F#-G#-B-E-G# (middle six strings of E9)

is an E major chord, with the 9th (F#) added.

Any Capos Work Better For Slide Then Others?

Hey,

I often capo when playing slide, and it's a constant issue with it bringing the action down a bit and making the slide buzzy. Any slides out there that work better than others for this? I see Ariel Posen extensively uses a Paige to play slide and seems to make it work. Others?
