Thanks to everyone for their insights on the matter. I just love doing it - phrasing is more musical right of the shelf. Plus it's a great way to monitor yourself: are the notes coming out of the steel as you intended them.

I recently picked up this (? 60ies) Guyatone 8-string console. The thing seems to be well built, stays in tune, etc etc but the pickups don't sound good. I have other 8st pups laying around, so I'd wanna try some in there. But... I can't figure out how they're attached to the body. Could it be they'...

It's really though to not live in the US. I would buy this one in a heartbeat if it wasn't for the insane taxes and import fees... (I'm in Belgium, central Europe that is...)

Hi Jan, I counted 10 strings on his E9th in the video... Yes, this is what I think he was playing and what I've put on that Maverick. I've been missing my SS D10 ever since I sold it (reason: I got me an Emmons PP D10). Very interested in this guitar. Will you ship it to Europe? -edit- Do you still have the original SS pickup? Or was the GeorgeL installed from the factory?
