Ten string Changer for Cowgar (or Cougar) PSG

Looking for one of the 10 string Changers Freeman Cowgar used on his pedal projects.

They're fairly typically designed 3 raises, 2 lowers models. All pull.

Reasonable condition.

PS There's adequate photos posted, but it's hard to get the details of the tuning and changer from that. (the changer looks like a 3/2)

"....Its tuned to an E 9th Emmons setup......"

Is there a possibility of getting a better description than this. If it's a 12 string it's going to be either an extended E9 or an E9/B6 Universal tuning on there.

Could you post the setup of the guitar as it is now.

Thank you

Being tuned to just an extended E9, does it have enough hardware to be set up as a full universal E9/B6?

Also how many raises and lowers is the changer capable of?

Thanks

WTB: steel guitar body and changer

Needing a pedal steel body and a compatible 3/2 changer for a project.
Preferably an S10 but SD10 or S12 could be used. No other parts essential but would consider buying something that already has a few other parts mounted.

Have had one for time measurable in decades. It has a 15" Altec Lansing speaker which makes a great combination.
Never ever wanted to sell it but now it's too heavy to even think about using any more.

They are an underrated sleeper in the steel guitar amp universe.

Unusual to see a pedal steel player of any age who can improvise that well off a set of complex chords like Rainy Day has.

One of the most interesting and inventive C6 players from the old days was continually doing things that boggled the mind to hear and watch. Lots of times you couldn’t help but interrupt his playing with a question about something he did. However, the converstion was usually fairly short, like…â...

Might be time to say something here. Comments are getting progressively dumber by the minute. It would be a good idea to actually read the ad for the instrument being discussed first. It's clearly stated that it's..... An Emmons 8 string, 2 pedal, raises only, fixed tuning, E9 A and B pedals, lightw...

No doubt he knows more about music as a subject, and music theory than 85% of E9 pedal steel players, but, hey, if we get off on ridicule as a kick, let’s give him the business.

Nobody has ever published any figures on just how much removing the C6 neck and apparatus would actually save on the weight of a Crossover. It’s already excessively heavy so the difference wouldn’t probably be too significant. The original 6 pedals, one knee provide enough basic hardware to make...

ACEG (Bovine reply)

Yeah, funny stuff. We're talking about E9 pedal steel where nobody learns the names of the notes. Why? Because "only the intervals are important in playing music"

If CBA has more cabinet drop than ABC it boggles the mind to imagine the fearful possibilities that exist with the pedals operating C6. They’re stuck right in the middle of the guitar. Some of these pedals have three pulls and heavier strings to deal with. I just hope nobody ever thoughtlessly pus...

Open chord (D-F#-A-C#-E-G#)...... Your G# is a #11 rather than an 11th in that key. To get the 11th you'd need to lower the G# with your B pedal. But since that would also lower your F# to F, you'd be creating a minor of the chord. So instead of getting a Dmaj11 you'd have a Dm/maj11. I guess you c...

I bought the guitar used. I was under the impression that it was a one owner at the time... The pickup is definitely a Wilkinson branded unit. . The guitar is definitely the one I once had. It's certainly not a "one owner". There are four owners to my knowledge and if you didn't buy it di...

. This one has a Wilkinson tele type pickup. It sounds good and plays nicely. I love the little guitar ..... . This looks like the Cougar I had. It’s always intrigued me how the world of pedal steel gets so fanatical about getting the open notes, pedals and levers tuned to miniscule preciseness, and then can’t find the right places on the fretboard when they go to actually playing the thing.
