During the one and only 'sit-down' gig I ever had, I developed a numbness in my right hand while pickin'. Playing 4 hours a night, 6 nights a week for a year and a half, I fell into some pretty bad habits. One such habit was to rest my wrist too heavely on the pad of my single//double steel guitar. ...

Besides listening to the 2 types of 'oldies' stations we have around here...that is the POP oldies and the CLASSIC ROCK oldies formats, I've been listening to the likes of Nora Jones, Sting, John Mayer and Kenny Rankin.

I rigged up a mini boom to one of the legs of my steel by using a piece of drum hardware, a double ended clampy thingy. The problem I found with it was that noise from the guitar itself came through. So, I don't use it anymore.
