All the steel players I know who took lessons from Buddy agree that we were EXTREMELY lucky to have him based in the DC area. There were virtually NO steel teachers in this region in the 70's. When he became available to teach after quitting the ET road gig, word got around quickly and a bunch of us...

Played it about 10 years ago at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in DC. Pretty much the same songs Roger mentioned. Had a blast. I'd do it again if the opportunity comes my way

I kept waiting for "Rainbows all over your blues" with Emmons. As far as I know, they never did play it. That is one of my absolute favorite steel recordings ever.

It's not real loose, it causes a slight wobble, mostly noticeable when lifting guitar in and out of the case. I doubt it would be easy to remove the plug but if there is a way to do that without screwing up the leg I would try the expoxy route.

Loose leg plugs

OK all you steel guitar mechanics, is it possible to repair/tighten loose leg plugs (the part that screws into the end plates) or do I buy new legs. 75 P/P

Is that supposed to be glued or does it have a sticky backing? What kind of glue is used over old vinyl on a case?

I'll keep it rolling. Jim is a super solid C6 player with his own sound, no effects discernable to me. Please let us all know where we can see your band when we are in the Philly area.

Finally somebody put a tastefully SMALL inlaid brand on the front apron that doesn't scream at you.If you've seen other modern steel logos, including Rains, you know what I mean.I want one bad but I'd hate to think what all that good taste costs. Absolutely gorgeous.

I'm pretty sure I'm hearing that 1st string F# to G# raise alot in the current stuff on the radio w/PF. Don't know which pedal or lever he uses but I put it on the 4th pedal and I feel its pretty easy to get used to there. I think it can go on any knee you have available.

Eric, I also have a POD XT and tried the leg bracket and I agree it works fine but just looks silly. I needed a new Pack seat anyway so I got one with a side covered section. The POD fits in the seat with the AC adapter and all my cords. I opened the side cover and stuck four small pieces of velcro ...
