I'm stoked that Rusty Danmyer is all over the cd. He's a great player, and it's awesome to hear him on a major release

yeah, but it seems like it would be better to keep the name Carter. To spend that kind of money on a new steel, I wouldn't want the Musicians Friend version of a steel.

I would definately stay inside the computer. You can get banging results nowadays for a lot less money then hardware options. I'd stay aways from the whole Alesis nanoverb kinda deal. I have Cubase SX(kinda pricey, but the SE is more affordable) and the effects that came with it are decent, especial...

Thanks John. I did what you said. Unplugged the connectors on the reverb, and it solved my problem. Thanks for the quick response

Fender Twin hum

I just bought a used RI Twin Reverb a few days ago. It has worked fine until tonight. When I got home from work, I turned it on, and there was a deep hum. I figured out that it was the reverb. If I turn the reverb all the way down, it's not easily audible, but it's still there. I don't know much abo...

I don't think that every reply on the forum should be positive. To be sometimes critical and honest is far more educational than just strictly positive posts. I'd like to hear one of these guitars soon.

I'm curious about some comments I've heard about the Twin. A bunch of guys seem to use a twin as their main amp, is it really so underpowered for steel, especially compared to a 112?

The thing is, no one is going to become succesful(what is success anyway?) in a short period of time. I've been here for four years, have a day job, and I'm slowly getting to where I want to be. I've done a bunch of cool music-related things since moving here, and I see my opportunities far clearer ...

Hey Farris, I'm actually trying to "make it" as a drummer. The pedal steel is my new baby!! I know a ton of people who are cooking or cocktail waitresses, or are hostesses at restaurants here in Nashville who are working on the music career.

Farris,
you wanted to know who can cook. I'm the sous-chef at one of the finer restaurants in Nashville. You'd be amazed at how many musicians or sons/daughters of famous musicians I've met since working in Nashville kitchens,

Alright guys, It was a good show and the crowd loved it. There was a ton of energy, and he grooved his ass off. I don't understand why some people need to add their negative feedback on RR. I'm 22, and I like seeing a guy in my age range connecting to my peers. And because of him, when I say I play ...

Because I am happy with my tone. I want a double 10 and right now I have a S10. I was wanting to know about tonal characteristics of actual guitars, not the amps. Also, I don't really see amp eq as being part of a guitar's tone. It looks like pickup choice might be what I need to check out. Thanks g...

Actually I was downtown last night. I live off of 8th Ave, so I have to drive like 5 blocks to get to Tootsies and whatnot. I saw only 1 steeler, a guy on a red Franklin, that was barely audible in the PA at the Stage, which is a big and clean place, but it definately lacks that lower Broad characte...

Right now I play a Sierra Artist S10 through a little Fender amp. The Sierra is not a pro guitar, and the Fender is cheap, but I like it. I actually get a pretty full sound out of it. It's not very loud, but it records very well. I'd like to continue in this direction for tone. I'm going to buy a Fe...

Thanks everyone for the quick replys. I'm not a big fan of the super bright steel, which ofcourse I know has much to do with technique and amp/settings. And Drew, speaking of location, I was born and raised in Charlotte, MI
