Hard to find fretboards
Demand for fretboards has been high. We have a number of different scales, graphics and colors available for Sho-Bud and other guitars. This is a matter of information for the forum members. They can be seen on duanemarrs.com at the second other on our legend. These come with 32 frets and can be cut...

Steve, Jeff just added a few of the shot's to our site. They are under the ones of Lloyd. Better view of keyhead etc... In all of my years building, this is the most accurate playing and tuning guitar I've had come off of a bench. The high's above the 12th fret are very brilliant too. We have enjoye...

Lloyd does not own a Jackson or a Marrs guitar, however, Duane,Harry and David are very close friends and certainly the quote is accurate. The Show Pro was not available at the time he played the Jackson. The LDG is not available at any price, as far as I know. Thanks for your comment Joe. Skip, sin...

Dear Mr. Cann, No defense needed. It was at that HOF celebration where Dot Green helped us with the color scheme we would use on the New Lloyd Green model, before it was finished by AJ Nelson. It was most fitting that he have the Sho-Bud there. After all it was the first LDG built that Duane had a h...

Hi Joe, the undercarriage uses a lot of the same parts. The cabinet is completely new. The finishes will all be lacquer. Every guitar is a custom build with almost any desired addition, such as compensators and or split tuners. The big body Sho-Bud's had a 3/4'' step that makes a build difficult com...

Thanks for all of the nice replies about the new guitar. Show Pro and Marrs are two independent companies and I'm still working the road to pay for the new factory that Duane and I both work in at my home in Mt.Juliet,TN. We are working on an open house and Doug Jernigan seminar planned in the fall....

Lloyd has been making friends with the first Show Pro guitar for about 4 weeks now and has graciously offered to help me get the name out there. So far he has used the guitar with Charlie Pride, Gene Watson, Daryl Singletary and Crystal Gale to name a few. In fact, one producer asked if he would be ...

Ian, This is one of my all time favorite Milsap songs. The steel playing is SUPERB. I especially liked the way Lloyd doubled the solo section he did. Mike Johnson told me he thought Lloyd was the best at stacking he had ever seen or heard, when he got to visit a Mel Street session, Lloyd led on. I b...

Actually, that is what most of the guitars look like before we are finished. That would be an excellent candidate for an EXTREME MAKEOVER. Please see www.duanemarrs.com. A.J. Nelson could bring the cabinet back to life for sure. Thanks for the new Nashville Skyline Seymour shirt Bobbe, your pal, Jef...

GUILTY. Peter your parts were sent in Sepetember after we spoke. Not sure time frame for shipments to South Africa. Marrs new location
After sharing info. of our new product design with our friend Bobbe Seymour earlier this year, he urged us to get a large manufacturing facility and go all out. Well thats what we have done. We have started the move this week to Mt. Juliet, TN east of Nashville and about 12 miles from BNA Internatio...

Thanks. Those are actually Marrs fretboards with an extra scale. They look very similar to the Franklin, but ours are stars and not spiderweb markers.I think Duane and Mr.Franklin were starting their guitars about the same time. The back neck is a pedal cat-can I designed with pullers at the keyhead...

Jack and Mike are both correct. Franklin was the first to help our good friend Wesley Pryor get his product out. Lloyd does have a green cover provided by by none other than Red Kilby, with his name on it. However, the Stay Cool was provided as an aid to hot and cold temperatures in the studio. Tomm...

Thanks Eric, Your new Sho-Bud gave Brandon this idea when he had me search for this Pro I. It was a very dark brown when I got it. AJ wasn't satisfied with the first finish, so he did it twice. That tells you what kind of work he does. The white fretboard came from Bobbe Seymour and AJ did the cards...

Lem, You're welcome. I'm one of the lucky ones I got to spend time at Sho-Bud. I used to have to lug my '69 permanent up the iron stairs to Harry, as a teenager in the seventies to have it worked on at the Broadway shop. Plus, ten years with Duane I've tried to find out as much as I could about the ...

Lem, Duane is out picking tonight but I'll try to give as much information as I can. I believe Bobbe is right about the number between 7 and 12 I've heard Duane say, too. Duane was in research and development when the first Super Pro was designed by he and Paul Franklin, Sr. in the late seventies. Th...

Hi Tom, I recently rebuilt a Super Pro that had a 24 1/4 scale. It was a later model. The fretboards were in bad shape, so I put ours on. The originals were the later black and white versions like on a lot of Super Pro's. Sho-Bud did make a few that scale. Probably would not be practical to have new...
