Lloyd has been making friends with the first Show Pro guitar for about 4 weeks now and has graciously offered to help me get the name out there. So far he has used the guitar with Charlie Pride, Gene Watson, Daryl Singletary and Crystal Gale to name a few. In fact, one producer asked if he would be using the new guitar when he got to the session. These cuts will be out later this year when albums are released. I'm sure many are looking forward to hearing these new songs and enjoying your talents again.
Hopefully, by the end of the year we will be in full production. At this time we have compiled a list of those desiring one of the very first editions of Show Pro guitars. The y have been coming in from everywhere like Scotland, Norway and England.
Thank you Lloyd and Dot Green for all of the support over the years and making a dream come true. your friend, Jeff Surrat

Thanks for all of the nice replies about the new guitar. Show Pro and Marrs are two independent companies and I'm still working the road to pay for the new factory that Duane and I both work in at my home in Mt.Juliet,TN. We are working on an open house and Doug Jernigan seminar planned in the fall. Anyone wishing to visit is welcome to stop by, when in the area.
The pedal in the photo is an RV 3 just like the one Lloyd uses.

The Show Pro list we are compiling is growing and is being put in serial number ordered sequence right behind Lloyd Green 0001. 0002 to be announced soon. 0003 belongs to Steve Hinson etc...
To insure your place please direct correspondence to Gloria at gjsurratt@msn.com, since I'm on the road right now. Sincerely, Jeff Surratt, Show Pro steel guitars

The guitar you and Duane built for Lloyd looks great. I wish you all the success in the world with it. Duane has always maintained my old Super Pro so I know of his quality. I know you and he will have a winner here...Harold

Hi Duane.....some questions!

While they are two different companies, are there significant differences between the Sho Pro and Marrs guitars?

Is the Sho Pro somewhat of a replica of the late-model Sho-Buds?

Could you provide specific details on the Sho-Pro...info on the changer, whether the rollers are gauged, whether lacquer finishes are standard, if there are compensators, etc., etc.?

Thanks!

Joe

Hi Joe, the undercarriage uses a lot of the same parts. The cabinet is completely new. The finishes will all be lacquer. Every guitar is a custom build with almost any desired addition, such as compensators and or split tuners. The big body Sho-Bud's had a 3/4'' step that makes a build difficult compared to the flat bottom type guitars built today. However, we were able to design an endplate to accomodate the full 3/4'' back-board. When we scaled down the width too it gave us an amazing resonating sound. Lloyd says the notes are more defined , clearer and even. He especially likes the 3rd string sound. The Watson cut of "Pretty Paper" he just cut is classic in his words. Right up there with "Farewell Party", and he could only get the Show Pro to pull it off the way he wanted.
Hope I have answered a few of your questions. Thanks, Jeff
