Sho Bud Scale

Post by Tom Callahan »

Is it possible for a Sho Bud to have a 24 1/4" scale. If so, does anyone know here one can be obtained one or a replacement one that scale?
I have one that measures 24 1?4" from center of roller nuts to the center of the changer.A lot of things on this guitar are not what they should be.

Hi Tom, I recently rebuilt a Super Pro that had a 24 1/4 scale. It was a later model. The fretboards were in bad shape, so I put ours on. The originals were the later black and white versions like on a lot of Super Pro's. Sho-Bud did make a few that scale. Probably would not be practical to have new ones made due to the cost involved. I did save the old ones I took off for a pattern though. We can usually adjust the guitar either way to fix scale problems. The tailplate can be "faced" on a mill or shimmed if necessary. Yours is probably very close already. Give me or Duane a call if we can help. Jeff

I was planning on calling you. Just wanted to give you time to wake up and get your fill of coffee.
