73 from KC5W

I have been a ham since the early 70s and used to work a lot of CW and 10, 15 meters. For a long while I was a member of Navy MARS. These days steel guitar and computer leave little time for my amateur radio activity. :)

My call is KC5W. 73 :!:

Wow!

The new guitar looks fantastic. I think the Remington guitars just keep getting better and better as they age so the fun is just beginning.

I got my copy of Tuff Fun Tab , and they are exactly what I had hoped for. They are not simply tabs, although this would have been fine, but these are truly aids to learning. Herb puts great emphasis on use of slants, phrasing, etc. These will make great tools for those trying to develop their skill...

I love my MIni Brut 5 which I use with a Reminington T8. I play through a 'Black Box' and the tone is outstanding. The reason I got it was that Herb Remington plays through one and anyone who has ever heard Herb knows that he sounds great. Of course, Herb would probably sound good playing through an...

Your new web site looks good.

I guess Bobby Koffer just proves its not how you play it, it is how you play. One evening I spent the whole evening watching him and I don't have a clue how he does it, but he in fact does play with only a thumb pick and he does hold the bar in a unique way. He also plays standing up. Fantastic play...

I have a high G tuning for the 1st string of my C6 neck - but I find I play much more frequently on my A6 neck which has an E for the 1st string. Maybe, like Chris says, the E just works better or is more like the tunings I learned on - E7/E13. ------------------ Remington Steel T-8 Steelmaster Gibs...

When I took from Dick back in the 50's he also taught my brother who was very short at the time to play stand up base, and he, like me still plays.
