I like the AF position for blues. I leave the F lever engaged and use the A pedal for the slide effect, alternating with actual sliding. and the IV chord is 2 frets up (open position) well within an easy slide.

My fourth steel, and current favorite.

I always have a few bar towels with me...it is hot and humid where I live. Great to wipe down the strings, too.

Jerry, I own 2 Fessendens, a D-10 and an SD-10. The D-10 has wonderful tone, but the SD-10 is even better. I am no expert, only been playing 37 years, but I think the difference is the D-10 is lacquered and the SD-10 has a mica finish. Just MHO. I truely do not know for sure.
