high or low gain inputs on the 112 amp

I am finding that the high gain input gives
me to brittle a sound on the first four strings
on E9, wereas the low gain input is just right for both necks, Mike does say that the
high gain is mostly for electric guitars,I
look forwards to your comments. Tom

CONCERNING THE Neodyium Speaker

In the 112 amp, how much lighter would the
Neodyium speaker be, and how much if any would it affect the tone as apposed lets say to the Blue Marvel. Tom

I have an 87 Legrande D10, the C6 sound was great but the E9 much to muddy, I then
changed to a 710 and that was much to brittle
so I then bought a G.L. 10-1 and for me it is just right. Tom

My new 400 Williams D-10 has a E-9btone to die for but th C-6 was to sharp for my taste so I got Jerry Wallace to do his magic and now I can die for both, I do believe that to much credit goes to the guitar and not enugh
to the pickup and amps, I play both Williams
and an Emmons Tom
