Hmm - I’m not sure why this thread was moved? The product I asked about solely deals with the subjects of identification/changing/solving audio issues in recording/producing situations, in order to improve critical listening skills.
I’m sorry - this is not about perfect pitch, intervals etc!

Thanks everybody.
The subject of Golden Ears is to improve your listening skills in order to identify/solve audio problems.
Bryan – do you feel substantial changes in your listening skills that clearly are related to the course you are using?

Hi Tom
Welcome to the forum from a fellow danish lap steeler. If you could have access to only one steel guitar website, this one should be it. A place of great wisdom and nice people.

Pitching higher when using headphones for monito

I tend to pitch higher when I use headphones for monitoring. Some notes are on the edge of being out of tune. I have no problems when I listen to the direct sound from the speaker. Does anybody else have to cope with such problems, or am I just wierd? I’m not pleased with this. Any advice?

There must be something unusual going on, the way you post your mp3’s. When I download your files I get nothing but the name, and when I try to stream, I get nothing at all.
I can see I’m not the only one with this problem.

FYI – be careful with celluloid and acetone. 100% pure acetone can melt the celluloid complete and make it disappear. 60/40 % acetone/water (% depends on weather conditions) will in a couple of hours soften the celluloid without harming it.

Terry – I’m equally impressed and inspired. When I see this beautiful little “machine” of yours, I sure wish I had the tools for working with metal. I like your way of thinking. Very innovative and very inspiring! Pearl and shiny aluminium – nice combination.

New lapsteel - just finished - pics

I finished this homemade lapsteel a couple of weeks ago. The dark wood is bubinga and the bright wood is mable. The body is hollow. 22 1/4 inch scale. The PU is a gift from my good friend Henning Kock. It has a warm and jazzy sound with a fine sustain. At the moment it’s tuned Leavitt. http://jbl-da...

Tabs for Leavitt tuning

Hi
Before ordering Leavitt material, I would like to try out the tuning. All links for Leavitt tuning tabs I have tried turns out to be dead.
Can someone help with tabs that show the potentials of this tuning?

Thanks in advance

Last year I bought a guitar from a guy in Aurora. It was shipped by USPS April 19th and it didn’t turn up at my address until June 9th. The paperwork showed that it had been held up in Danish costums for almost 4 weeks. This could be a similar situation. I wouldn’t give up hope.
