Pitching higher when using headphones for monito
I tend to pitch higher when I use headphones for monitoring. Some notes are on the edge of being out of tune. I have no problems when I listen to the direct sound from the speaker. Does anybody else have to cope with such problems, or am I just wierd? I’m not pleased with this. Any advice?

Headphones emphasize overtones and deemphasize the fundamentals. That could effect your pitch sense. The problem is worse if you are going straight into the board for headphone play. It helps a great deal if you go through an amp and speaker simulator, such as a POD XT. This makes the headphones sound more like a real amp and speaker.
