What A terrible shock! I bought my first steel with Don E's advisement. Truly we have lost one of the steel worlds very best.Don was one of my mentors, and helped me to keep at it , with a lot of no nonsense help :) A prayer has gone out for you Don E.

Landis, I use the Sarno Steel Guitar Black Box.
The signal goes through a vacuum tube then on to the amp.I can't tell you how the tube works but to my ears it certainly sweetens the sound of the guitar! :)
