I'm sorry to hear Albert picked up this bug. I'm glad to hear he's doing better after receiving plasma and antibodies. I work on the frontlines of healthcare and see every day what this virus can do to a person's body. The earlier the interventions, the better. We are all praying for you Albert and ...

The quad sold pre-flood...and in great condition. I feel honored to have played it. When he got the quad, it was one of those guitars in his studio that was always plugged in and ready to go!

" He then modded this steel guitar to have three on/off switches; one for each pickup. Five years later, 2014, this was sold to a private seller because Rick was downsizing " There are inaccuracies here, and I must set them straight. Rick was the second owner, he purchased it from Cindy in...

So sad for me to hear. Although I have many favorite steel guitar players, Kayton is without a doubt, my all-time favorite. I listened to him on the Opry every Friday and Saturday night when I was in high school in the 1980’s. His steel guitar sounded like no other. He would play the sweetest fill...

Yes, Jana, Rick would be thrilled. He passed away in 2009. He was very passionate about steel guitar, and loved the steel community. He really enjoyed conversations on the forum, as well as helping newbies with his courses. He had so many musical plans that there were sadly, cut short. I'm glad some...

Mike this CD is fantastic! But, I knew it would be.. 8) It's all I've listened to since I got the digital download. I took a little road trip last weekend and played it over and over again! In fact, I'm listening to Bemsha swing right now! It's also given me a new appreciation for Monk's music. I lo...

This is very sad news. Jim was a great guy and a fantastic steel player...pedal and non pedal. In fact, he enjoyed playing a set each year in the Non-Pedal room at the TSGA. I enjoyed chatting with him before and after the show. My condolences go out to his family and loved ones.

A big hand to Steve for stepping in and taking the reins for 2016! Steve has also been a big help behind the scenes for several years with videography. I enjoyed hosting the show for years, but my J.O.B. is as such now, that there is more on my plate, combined with less time off. I hope to be back s...

So sorry to hear about Mel. I spoke with her on the phone many times, but never had the honor of meeting her. She was a fine lady. I also have the same Hawaiian LPs of her singing. She also hand colored some fret boards I had gotten when I custom built a triple and single neck guitar I got from Herb...

I have pretty much the entire Hawaiian collection that I got when Bruce was still with us. I hope Dallas can get it back up running. Even if not for actual Discs, a download site would be perfect. For Jazz fans, Bruce had quite a jazz library of him playing with different groups. I hope they will be...
