I've got two
I have one from Ruskin, FLA and another from Whitehall, MI. The Ruskin one has a U.S. Pat. No. 3,102,227. And says other patents pending. The newer one from MI has no Pat, No. So I assume they made up the Pat. No. on the older one. Both are chrome and are very similar or identical in casting. They h...

Age of a Goodrich 120 volume pedal
It seems like there are a number of styles of the Goodrich 120 volume pedal. I have one where the model number is hand written, made in Ruskin, FL and has glowing tape on the edges. Gives a patent number but says other patents pending. I bought a new pot for it but found out that my cable was the pr...

The problem is that with these varied pedal rod lengths I can't get the pedals even or have 1-3 reach their full pull without jacking up the pedal bar (which makes 4-8 too high). My gut says there should be two lengths -- one for 1-3 and one for 4-8. The Custom is like this. Hats to start hacking th...

Sho Bud Pro II Pedal Rod Problems
I have a 1974 Sho-Bud Pro II that I bought about 15-20 years ago. Previous to that I owned a number of Sho-Buds. On the other S~Bs the pedal rods were numbered. On the 74 Pro II they were not and I always found it difficult to even my pedals out and get proper height because the rod lengths were str...

Great job Jerry! I was trying to figure out to present this information too. With a little effort I think you can get it down to the month (or two) using just the information provided so far. Think I nailed the month on both of mine. But the year is so much more info than I have had on my 12 Buds ov...

The $600 price for the Roland burner is a ripoff - I can get (got) the same stand alond for half the price (6 months ago). I know that you can head out of the Rolands using SCSI. Why can't you use a SCSI burner for backing up tracks and to transfer to a PC?? This is why I have avoided buying an 1880...

Ken, I don't see a $99 deal from BIAB. But there are two deals for new users. One is $88 and includes 6 disks. The other is $249 and seems to includes everything they produce (looks like 38 disk or so.) Should I go for the whole deal or the smaller 88 bucker? The new Roland ED U-8 bascially is hardw...

I am getting sucked back into this again, but have no real recording devices so can kind of start from scratch (just sold a Tascam 546). Here is my plan. Work bought me a powerful laptop with USB ports, 30 gigs of drive, and a burner. My plan is to purchase the new Roland ED U-8 unit which plugs int...
