Those older folks that complain about the younger generation seem to forget it was our generation that raised them up. Chris, when it comes to the past, nothing beats first-hand knowledge. Been there, been here. And that's how I know that there was better. :\ Your post makes no sense...and Im proba...

Use your bar or similar item to check for equal heights across the strings as you file. Probably a given...but others may have better advice.

When you want to part with the 16 at a "Steel Guitar forum price", lemme know.
I have an 8...and I'd like to upgrade or link them together. I use it constantly, especially to write automation when mixing.

The preamp is the tone controls and what you plug into. The amp takes the preamp signal and amplifies it(makes it louder). A Fender Twin instrument amplifier contains both...as most other makes do too. Old stereo systems might have had them as separate components. A modern day studio might have *fav...

A forced subscription.... yeah...wouldn't potentially like that. However, this last fall, I finally went with Studio One's monthly...paid a year up front....as in the long run, figured it would be about the same cash outlay and you then get everything Presonus has to offer, minus some 3rd party stuf...

I dumped Cakewalk after 10+ years when they sunk their ship...even though picked up by Bandlab and made free. Went to Presonus Studio One and found I like it better. I like the faderport integration and overall seems easier to use and has ARA integration and on and on. Protools is years behind and o...

I've thought about, but not followed through, with a tatoo of a ruler on my forearm as I'm constantly steeped in projects and hunting for a tape measurer. I was going to have 12 inches marked with the atomic Emmons fret markers instead of using numbers. 12" is just a bit too long and would go ...

18.5" ???

Edit:... must be the length of the fretboard only. You'll need to know and provide the scale length...from nut to bridge, so the fretboard is accurately marked.

It seems to be generally getting good reviews, up to the $1699 purchase price. I use a Helix and haven't touched an amp in years. Clean sounds are probably the hardest to get quality on any of these units, but once you're familiar with available adjustments, the results are amazing and easily adjust...

A latest Youtube done this morning.

Yeah...there's a little non pedal in there towards the end, basically just part of the mix... but I just wanted to share. I know this isn't everyone's cup of tea and I can appreciate that. But I've learned that good musicians will appreciate good music...any kind....and if you always stay inside the...

Jim's suggestion is also good. If you get acquainted enough with the program, you may be able to rescue the audio yourself, to your satisfaction.

There are free screen capture programs...such as OBS...but that sends you down the trail, learning something new. Uploading a file to Google Drive, will allow others to access larger files, too large to send in emails, etc. That would probably be the easiest route at this point. Google Drive is free...

Realize when you boost volumes, background noise also gets boosted the same amount. There are some noise reduction tools available that do a reasonably good job. Restoring video is even harder. If this is really something important to you, professional restoration services exist too. I can help with...

Looking for steel (preferably PSG) collaborator

For fun making Youtubes. I'm open to most anything.
No "across the room" phone audio please and video a plus.
I can create full backing tracks to just providing some 12 string strumming. I can "professionally" provide final mixes, etc.

The 933 Gotohs are the best by a long shot and basically look the same...same 15:1 gear ratio, but finer machine all around. I also especially like the Supro headstock. While not a straight string pull, it has a nice clean run from the nut to the tuners...especially the 5th and 2nd strings. That's unlike many other 6 strings...even some other Valco made.

$4-600 is about the going rate for this model; I'd say 4-5 in this condition. As with any reasonably common model, it can take some time to find the right buyer. 150 would be an outrageously good deal for any Supro in original, working condition. Yeah...I wasn't really looking but for the price of ...
