Quilter amp question?

Looking at the specs for the Travis Toy 12" and 15" with the Tone Bock 202 they give two different values. So, wondering why the difference? ADDED: I took these off a website that sells them. Quilter's website now shows them both at the 0-200 watt figure. So, was the 12" version a hig...

Has anyone used an actual Leslie system for PSG. We used to cart two of them around for our organ and you couldn't get any better.

If I was to buy a Quilter 202 and wanted a 15" speaker,
I certainly would just get the Quilter Travis Toy 15 combo.

I always thought steel pedal guitars were like pianos, in that they all played the same...mostly. I only learned they were all different after joining this forum a few months ago. And I've played six-string guitar on and off for 50 years. That said, I don't agree that all those differences have resu...

I wondered about the underside lighting being a distraction that some artists would not want on stage. After all, they are paying the bills. The lighted keyboard however seems like a great idea.

Fender could reissue the 1963 Bassman that is the holy grail to the Gretsch guitar folks, but it would not be the same. The "magic" came from the combination of transformer and other components that are no longer manufactured. Other makes could do the same but, for the most part, they coul...

Curious if the first production model has left the factory yet?
Will you be starting a new serial number list or continuation of the original?

The picture of the SD-10 in black and red is beautiful.

What reverb pedal do you like?

If I want to add reverb to my Fender Rumble 200, what pedal do you like for PSG? I kinda like the Strymon Flint at $299. I have considered reverb units but $800-$1000 would put a pretty big dent in the cost of a new amp with reverb already in it. If I already had a great amp that I was in love with,...

He went home with the Quilter (my new Quilter was delivered while he was playing with these....maybe he took pity on me.) Interestingly -- the 200W Q was cranked quite high to match the output of the PV -- like, 9 on the Q equaled 6 on the PV . Most curious. Curious as to your new Quilter. Did you ...

I'd look at a Fender Rumble 100 Bass amp. 12" Speaker, 100 watts, good tone (though you need a reverb pedal), a preamp and speaker better suited to the wide range of PSG and only 23 pounds for $350. I have a new Fender Rumble 200 for my bass. It has 200 watts and a 15" speaker. I don't ha...

What Peavey 112 is preferred?

I've seen posts about 112s but never sure which one is being discussed.

I see a Bandit 112 for about $500 and a Nashville 112 for about $750

Both 80 watt and 1x12. What's different between the two?

Are there any other versions of the 112 ?

There's something about a black guitar.

Kinda like a black Harley Davidson motorcycle.

I like many of the colors but I think the black and chrome looks very classic.

Why solid state over tubes for PSG amplifiers?

My first amp was a new 1964 blackface Fender Super Reverb and tubes were always the preferred choice for 6-string guitars and bass. So I was surprised to learn that solid state is preferred for steel. Bass and electric guitars need lots of headroom as well. Although shredders like them to break up a...
