I have a Lunchbox, I use it for small club gigs with a Tele, or a 6-string lap steel, going through a Boss ME50. Probably a bit lightweight for a PSG.I usually run the volume full up and the gain about 1 o'clock, the tone at 11 o'clock and the ambience about 8 or 9 o'clock. A bit of distortion using...

All valid points, I don't know if the tech pulled the chassis out or not. I've worked on point to point amps, replacing components etc. but I'm too clumsy to start messing around PC boards. I'll mention your comments to the tech, and we'll see how it goes. I use the amp mainly with a Tele, sometimes w...

Deluxe Reverb Reissue-changes in newer models?

I have a DeLuxe Reverb reissue I bought in 2007, it's now in the shop for a recurring problem with the signal dropping in level as much as 20 db, then returning to normal after a minute or so. Tried changing output tubes, rebiasing, worked ok for a while, then the fault came back, and they haven't b...

I tried to download the Cleartune tuner on my Android phone, everything was going great until they asked me for a promo code. Couldn't find one anywhere-can anyone help me with this?

I have one of these amps, use it for steel (have to mike it though). I like the fact that you can drive it into light distortion quite easily. I missed the Mid control that I used to have on the Super Reverb, but after a bit of experimentation, found settings that worked for me.

I had a Nasville 400, sold it because of the weight; I wonder if I'd have been better off to put a Sica speaker in it and kept it. It had the black corners, don't think it had any mods, but it was a good sounding amp.

Questio re Fender 65 reissue DeLuxe Reverb

My DeLuxe reissue will drop in level once in a while, almost to the point of losing signal then come back up again. I've changed output tubes and some other tubes, wondering now if it's another component to do with biasing the output tubes. Any suggestions (other than chucking it for an older DeLuxe...

When you yell across the stage, "what key", someone usually yells back something or other, however, except for "A" and "F", they all sound alike :( . If only we could all learn American Sign language and the Nashville numbers system, things would go a lot smoother. I've...

Interesting comments by all- Herby is right about the multi-intrumental players--it's kind of like insurance. In his case, he stuck to the one instrument, and it paid off in this way--he's one of the great ones. Hats off to ya, Herby. The music business is having a rough time along with everyone els...

All I have for C6th is an old 6-string lap steel--never gonna get all those chords with that, but I can dream--living with a single neck E9th. If you only saw Curly on Hee Haw, you may never realize what a genius he was. Loooove those chords!

Tri-State lap steel

I bought a Tri-State lap steel a few months ago, it plays great, looks like something from the '40's except the pickup is a humbucker, looks like it was added later. Has anyone ever seen one, or know anything about them? Could be a Kay or one of the low-end brands, but the headstock is birds-eye map...

Just got hold of an old TriState 6string lap steel, tuned it to C6h,CEGACE low to high, having a great time with it. The pedal steel is too heavy to bring everywhere, soi justy plug the lap steel into my Fender Deluxe Reverb and away I go. :D

My good friend George Keoki Lake has a Tradewinds dual 8 that fits in a suitcase, I think the builder is Elva West in California.
