G2 pickup choice

Dear G2 owners, please provide your feedback what kind of pickups you've chosen when you've ordered you G2. As far as I know, there are 3 different kind of pickups available. Did you had the chance to play and compare them before ordering? I'm located far off the PSG manufacturers so no way to play ...

I do agree what JD and Bill said. I've got both the C6th basics and toolbox and it*s just full of theory.
I didn't gave up and hammered it into my brain.
The practical part and examples -sound clips- comes way too short - and from my point of view, quite a bit too expensive.

Thanks to all for all your inputs! ..and the wise words of Jim- you're right, nobody wants to buy a pic in a poke. Will be quite difficult over here in Europe to sit behind the different brands as there are only a few player around. Perhaps I get in touch with the different companies and ask whether...

Thanks for the reply so far,
Question to Bryce and Dennis:
what's wrong with standard pickup in the Mullen, why did you replace it ? I can't judge, a comparison in sound is necessary.

@Scott: any advantage Emmons -> Mullen ?

PSG recommendation needed

Hello forum mates,
nearly 40 years back, I bought a new Bud Super Pro which I still like very much.
- Smooth playing and good sound!

Currently in my mind is - how about a new one.

What is your opinion and recommendation which brand I should prefer?

Effect Units in General

Hello out there,
what's in your opinion a kind of 'MUST to have' of effects units - apart echo/delay - connected to a Pedal Steel Guitar?
There are so many different units promoted in here , so it's a kind of difficult what's needed as a minimum.

Perhaps with a little explanation.

Many Thx!

Confusing for me.

Hello mates,
my first thoughts were, when playing a Cmaj chord finding it again on the 7th fret using the 9th string
and then in 3rd fret using the 8th string but it looks like that's not quite right.
I have to have a closer look to workout a different approach.

Thanks for far!

Roger, you're probably right,
perhaps I should do the homework first and working out all the positions of the different keys along the frets before doing something else.
It will be a "dry" and exhausting exercise.

C6th - advice neeed

Dear forum mates, after 30+ year on E9th I'm looking for a way to get info C6th. I know the strings and pedal actions but do not find an appropriate way how to start. I subscribed for PF C6th essentials and toolbox but I'm actually lost as soon trying to workout the chords or a chord progression of ...

Your approach to C6h

Hello out there, I'm looking for a good and reliable way to learn and remember all the different chords possible on the C6th neck using the pedals/knee-levers. As you know, just one pedal does change a lot of chords in just one position. A photographic memory will most probably help as well. What wa...
