Dear G2 owners, please provide your feedback what kind of pickups you've chosen when you've ordered you G2. As far as I know, there are 3 different kind of pickups available. Did you had the chance to play and compare them before ordering? I'm located far off the PSG manufacturers so no way to play ...

I do agree what JD and Bill said. I've got both the C6th basics and toolbox and it*s just full of theory.
I didn't gave up and hammered it into my brain.
The practical part and examples -sound clips- comes way too short - and from my point of view, quite a bit too expensive.

What about the other brands with names?

what's wrong with standard pickup in the Mullen, why did you replace it ? I can't judge, a comparison in sound is necessary.

what's in your opinion a kind of 'MUST to have' of effects units - apart echo/delay - connected to a Pedal Steel Guitar?
There are so many different units promoted in here , so it's a kind of difficult what's needed as a minimum.

makes a mess in remembering all there differences.
Confusing for me.

my first thoughts were, when playing a Cmaj chord finding it again on the 7th fret using the 9th string
and then in 3rd fret using the 8th string but it looks like that's not quite right.
I have to have a closer look to workout a different approach.

Roger, you're probably right,
perhaps I should do the homework first and working out all the positions of the different keys along the frets before doing something else.
It will be a "dry" and exhausting exercise.
