I play one of these in the form of a head through a Fender style tone ring cabinet with Telonics 12"

Running a telecaster or jazzmaster through an Earth Drive or a 6SC7 pre into that amp is the best sound I've ever been a part of.

Acoustic instruments also sound huge through a Half and Half

Csus

Hoping someone out there knows this tuning (Csus)well enough to help me out with some scales/forms. Picked it up from Martin Simpson who plays Boots of Spanish Leather in it (CGCGCD) but am having a bit of a time figuring it out.

Thanks,

hi mark,

sorry to hear about your crash. wanted to make it to see you at high sierra but no chance. enjoying the gretsch lap i got from you. used it on a little recording. did some speedy slaps with it to mime the sound of a hammond organ. good luck finding a new bus.

I have a sunrise in my superior and have two complaints. It is so big and heavy that it seems to reduce projection. Also, the spacing of the sensors does not match the string spacing very well so my low gauges are a bit under amplified. Went to Brozman's lap steel workshop yesterday and he suggested...

These are great guitars at a very reasonable price. I bought one a few months back, installed a sunrise pickup and it sounds sweet. David Lindley tried em out and bought three, which is probably a better testimonial. They are able to sell them at such a low price (starting at $600) because they have...

Pete and Cathy were playing in the exhibit gallery before their stage set and were picking instruments off the walls to compare. What a treat to watch and hear that 10 string d...

Mike Dennis: very curious about your bottleneck bass playing. How would you tune a 4 string to do so?

Thanks,
