Amp speakers

OK, the only thing is that i'm not sure what an acoustic setting is. This amp has a Compression and drive setting, a bass and distortion setting, a midrange and delay setting, a modulation and treble setting, and a reverb setting. I've tried all different combinations with the same results. As far a...

Actually I have 240 watts with built in EQ, and I'm kind of satisfied with the lower strings, I'ts the top G#,E, and B strings that sound really tinny.

I have a line 6 modeling amp and it does have a drum loop on it and I thought about letting it hammer away for a few hours and see what that does. The only problem with that is keeping my wife from hammering on my head while the amp does its thing.

Amp speakers

Thanks everyone for the input, I'll just keep on plucking away and see what happens. I just wish I could get a little more Bass out of my amp (with the Bass turned all the way up and the mid and treble turned all the way down) with 2- 12in. speakers.

Pick ups

Thanks guys for the input. I have a fairly new Mullen Discovery and I thought a second pick-up might enhance the sound a little better although if I did it would have to go fairly close to the 26th. fret which is about where I pick the strings, so I don't know how that would work out. Maybe I should...

Pick ups

I have what might seem to be a dumb question but I have always wondered why steel guitars only have one pick-up when all other guitars have 2 or 3 pick-ups. What am I missing here?

Amp speakers

Thanks guy's for responding, I just thought that the 4 ohm resistors would take the place of the 4 ohm speakers and as far as the adjustments goes, I have turned the bass all the way up and the mids and treble all the way down and it still sounds tinny. This thing has 90 different factory presets on...

Amp speakers

I have a line 6 modeling amp with 2 12" speakers and 2 3" tweeters and my question is can I unhook the 2 tweeters and maybe put a 4 ohm resistor across the leads to the speakers without any damage to the amp? The reason I want to disconnect is that the tweeters just make my steel sound too...

I'm 80 yrs. old and I learned to play the OAHU method back in the late 40s to early 50s. The top staff was the melodic line and the bottom staff was the harmonic line. The teacher would teach you to play the melody line while he would play the harmony line. Most of the tunings that we used was - E ma...

John, I have a question for you. I too have a Mullen Discovery with the standard Mullen pick up and I was wondering if you preferred the the 705 or the Mullen pick up and secondly where did you get the arm pad extension. I thought about trying to make one but if that one wasn't too expensive then I ...

Thanks everybody for your input, and yes I already thought about putting a piece of paper between the changer and the string and unfortunately no change. I think my last option is to change strings. Now that I've mentioned strings does anyone have any preference of one brand of strings over another?

Yes I did look on the changer even though the guitar is only a year old, I did notice a very light groove that you could barley feel with your finger nail and I took some steel wool and tried to buff it out the best I could but the rattle or buzz is still there. Also it's there when ever I take the ...
