This just popped up in my Facebook videos today. Somehow I knew somebody would beat me to posting it here. :)
It reminded me I haven't signed in here for over two years, and I missed it. Incentive to also drag out the SX Lap II, which might have been languishing for a coupla' years, too. 8)

Great work on that song, Nathan (and Cadence). 8) Maybe mic the Dobro until you get whatever replaces it? I think somebody said in the comments under the video that you need better audio. Other than that, you sounded very good. (I liked the snow fort and BalconyTV sessions, too.) You two have anothe...

Met another SGF member tonight

Tonight when I went to the monthly open mic held at a restaurant in a town next to mine (just about 3 miles up the road from my house), there was a Zum Encore on the stage. Huh; first time I'd seen a pedal steel at the OM. The player backed up several performers, and he was pretty good. The OM is ge...

Didn't Jackson Browne pen their first (small) hit? According to the Wikipedia article about Browne, "The band later recorded a number of Browne's songs, including 'These Days', 'Holding', and 'Shadow Dream Song'." He was only with them from May to August 1966. "Holding" and anot...

Do you have a little icon in the lower right corner that looks like a battery, with an electrical plug next to it? (If you unplug the power cord, you should see just the battery part of it.) When the computer is unplugged or otherwise not receiving external power, that will act as a battery meter. I...

Does anyone know of an autoharp forum? I've only found one, but I don't think anyone posts there except the group owner. James has some free lessons on his site, with some views from inside the guitar. I don't think I've seen that done before. He also has a lesson on how he achieves the "bionic nails" mentioned in the interview above. I found it last year when Acoustic Guitar did an article on him. I bought ...

I agree with Steve and Dennis. If it was going to get smashed, why not use a made-in-Asia beater right from the beginning? It's not as if the people who watch Tarantino movies are really paying attention to such details, anyway.

Charlie, it might depend on which font you're using. For example, in Arial, it's ALT and 0177 on the number pad. I think your "NumLock" has to be on, too.
ALT+0177 works on whatever font SGF uses, too. ±
Maybe you can copy-and-paste it where needed?
